| Se reportan las actividades y resultados del proyecto FIP 2005-41 “Dinámica y estructura poblacional del langostino colorado III y IV Regiones”. Para abordar el estudio de la dinámica y estructura poblacional de P. monodon, se plantearon dos hipótesis. Una postula que la especie posee una estructura poblacional a lo largo de la plataforma continental, en un gradiente latitudinal, en tanto que la otra plantea que la especie tiene una estructura poblacional a través de la plataforma continental, en un gradiente longitudinal. | Spawning and reproductive variables of the northern hake stock were analyzed using macroscopic and histologic gonad information derived from samples collected in May 2009. The study includes estimates of batch fecundity, spawning frequency, oocyte dry weight and size at first maturity. During May 2009 the reproductive activity of the northern hake stock took place mainly near the 50 m isobath, north of 37° S. Spawning occurred within a temperature range of 9 °C-15 °C that coincided with a bottom thermal front. Size at first maturity, much lower than that reported at the beginning of the 1980s, showed differences between males (27.16 cm TL) and females (32.84 cm TL). | Ichthyoplankton was sampled in 9 exploratory cruises in the sea off Buenos Aires province (Argentina), Uruguay and Brazil, during the spawning peak of the anchovy in spring-early summer and mid-autumn. The most abundant speices in the ichthyoplankton was Engraulis anchoita, representing 88. of the eggs and 76. of the larvae collected in all the cruises. These percentages vary boath regionally and seasonally; as regards eggs, the lowest percentage (10. ) was found in January. | Una metodología alternativa para la evaluación de la biomasa desovante en peces pelágicos como la anchoveta, corresponde al Método de Producción de Huevos (MPH), desarrollada en 1980 por investigadores del Southwest Fisheries Sciences Center, La Jolla, California. La producción diaria de huevos se estima a partir del número de huevos totales evaluados en una prospección ictioplanctónica, en asociación a otras variables, y la fecundidad específica diaria de la población adulta se determina mediante el procesamiento de muestras de peces, obtenidas durante cruceros de pesca, las que proporcionan información respecto de la fecundidad parcial, peso promedio de hembras, frecuencia del desove y proporción de sexos. |

| Se evalúan los stocks desovantes de anchoveta y sardina común mediante la aplicación del método de la producción diaria de huevos, durante la época de máxima actividad reproductiva del año 2003. Se diseñó un crucero de recolección de huevos y se efectuaron capturas de adultos de ambas especies entre la V (33°10’S) y X (41°20’S) Regiones. En la región costera entre la VIII y X Regiones, la condición reproductiva fue monitoreada a través de indicadores macroscópicos (IGS y estados de madurez sexual), indicando que ambas especies habrían iniciado su actividad reproductiva a partir de julio de 2003, con un máximo de actividad observado en septiembre para ambas especies. | El presente estudio tiene como objetivo evaluar el stock de merluza de tres aletas (Micromesistius australis) a través del método hidroacústico, entre las latitudes 47° 00' S y 51° 00' S. Como parte del proyecto, se realizó entre el 2 y el 14 de septiembre de 2004 un crucero de prospección a bordo del B/C Abate Molina, orientado a evaluar mediante un método de evaluación directa (evaluación acústica) su biomasa, abundancia y distribución, junto con estimar la composición de tallas, edad y proporción sexual del stock desovante en el área de estudio. |
